Over 95 percent of Fortune 500 companies are using Microsoft Azure. Even though it was only released in 2010 (originally as Windows Azure) and was rather late to the game for cloud computing platforms, Azure has grown and is outpacing its peers. Like a Jack of all trades, Azure supports many different programming languages, tools, frameworks, operating systems, databases and devices, Microsoft and non-Microsoft software and systems alike. It works as software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS). And with over 600 available services, the ability to build your own Power Apps, along with an incalculable number of ISVs providing additional Azure platform-based products and services—well, no wonder our customers run their business operations on Azure.
One of the key pieces of technology that Microsoft released as part of the Microsoft Cloud is the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agent (now Copilot Studio), which operates within your Microsoft Azure tenant. The moment Microsoft released their Power App technology we saw the opportunity and began building ITSM and ITAM Power App products. Since ServiceTeam ITSM and ServiceTeam ITAM Power Apps are native to the Power Platform they have some distinct advantages over our competitors. Below we detail 5 ways Azure capabilities flow through ServiceTeam ITSM and ITAM Power Apps to benefit our customers.
Unlike our competitors, our ServiceTeam products are embedded in the Azure cloud platform, which is one of the most secure platforms available—trusted by governments, enterprises and managed service providers. With over 3500 cyber security experts on staff, Microsoft invests over 1 billion in cybersecurity research and development per year and ServiceTeam customers—via Azure—benefit from the latest in threat prevention and detection technologies. ServiceTeam customers’ data is hosted in their Azure tenant, not within an external service or database. Your data is protected by Azure Active Directory and only those individuals you grant access see it—minimizing risk. Provance does not manage or process customer data—it is all contained solely within your Microsoft Azure tenant. Plus, with a large number of Azure data centers around the world, data residency issues are much less of a concern. Even though our competitors may allow companies to choose Microsoft Azure for application and data hosting, this is under the control of vendor and the customer does not directly control access to their data.
Microsoft was also one of the first companies to accept the new international standard for cloud privacy, ISO 27018. Azure protects your data at work and in transit using various encryption methods, protocols and algorithms, including double encryption. Azure is one of the most secure cloud platforms out there and our ServiceTeam customers benefit from all that security. See more information on Azure Infrastructure security.
Whether our ServiceTeam customers are global or regional operators, they can count on our ServiceTeam products operationally because the infrastructure is in our customers’ Azure tenant. Azure has over 200 datacenters in over 60 regions across the world—more than any other cloud provider. It is one of the largest networks, supporting Skype, Bing, Microsoft Exchange, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and of course, hundreds of thousands of customers. Even with its vast size, Azure has an average uptime of 99.995% across its extensive cloud infrastructure and Microsoft recently promised an uptime of 99.99% in their Azure SLAs. Gartner has also named Microsoft as the leader for Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Services for the last 9 years. See more information on Azure global network and Azure infrastructure security.
Our customers hold sensitive information within our family of ServiceTeam products. Azure helps our customers meet their domestic and international regulatory and compliance obligations with the most comprehensive set of data protection compliance offerings of any cloud provider. Azure boasts more than 100 compliance offerings, with over 50 for specific regions and 35 for specific industries. A recent IDC study found that by using Azure twelve organizations experienced a 465 percent ROI; 35 percent reduction in costs of compliance-related penalties; experienced easier regulatory and IT compliance audits; and built-in compliance for industry standards such as HIPAA, HITECH and SEC regulations. Moreover, Microsoft lets you choose where your data is located. See Azure compliance documentation.
Once our customers set up an Azure tenant the sky really is the limit for the ability to add services and resources. Flexibility is key and our customers achieve this by leveraging the Azure platform and Azure-related products and services, such as ServiceTeam, which all share the same digital DNA. Customers can leverage services and products that they require and they only consume the resources they need at any given time, scaling as need be. One of the reasons our customers find ServiceTeam to be so cost-effective in comparison to our competitors is because not only do you get to leverage your Power Apps licences, but with Microsoft Azure you only pay for what you use.
Azure supports data redundancy and other backup and recovery solutions to ensure our ServiceTeam customers are compliant and can carry on even when there’s a disaster at their specific location. Companies can choose different recovery criteria for different business units and different types of data. Disasters now come in many different shapes and sizes. Having a secure backup helps you protect your data and for example, avoid paying in a ransomware attack. Azure Backup provides security to our ServiceTeam customers’ backup environment—and Microsoft has invested in native security capabilities that make Microsoft Azure resilient against ransomware attacks and defeat ransomware attack techniques. Microsoft Azure helps our customers mitigate the risks.
In conclusion, Provance ServiceTeam customers inherit all of the benefits of Microsoft Azure—and continued investments Microsoft makes—based on the underlying Cloud technology and infrastructure that our family of ServiceTeam products are built on.
